Business success and employee satisfaction greatly depends on an organisation’s
capacity to manage and to engage with the growing diversity of today’s
workforce. A planned and systematic approach to work-life balance is an
important element in this, assisting employees to combine employment
with their family circumstances, caring responsibilities, and personal
life, while ensuring that no career disadvantage accrues to those who
avail of flexible arrangements. WLB arrangements are also associated
with significant benefits for employers, such as enhanced recruitment
and retention of employees, improved workplace morale and increased
productivity.
Polaris HR has
been appointed by the National Framework Committee for Work-Life
Balance to be part of an expert panel of consultants to provide up to 5
days fully funded consultancy to support small and
medium-sized enterprises in introducing and developing a planned and
systematic approach to work-life balance. Under this scheme, our
experienced consultants can be made available to provide support in
introducing and developing work-life balance policies and initiatives,
including training for management and employees in designing and
operating such arrangements. Polaris HR has already engaged very
successfully with a number of companies in addressing their work-life
balance arrangements under this scheme.
Polaris HR
has extensive experience and an excellent knowledge of best practice on
work-life balance issues, having provided a range of consultancy
services on these issues to organisations in the telecommunications,
financial services, pharmaceutical, health, Local Authority and SME
sectors throughout Ireland. In addition we regularly support such
clients through the design and provision of training interventions,
which are focussed on their specific needs and which always reflect
current best practice and legislative requirements. (Click here for more details on our team of consultants available under this scheme).
Polaris HR
implements WLB arrangements in its own workplace, from which it
benefits greatly. For example, part-time and flexible working allows
some of our valued staff to balance family commitments along with
building their careers within the company. This, together with our
extensive experience in HR issues and highly experienced team of
consultants, puts Polaris HR in a strong position to support other
organisations in developing and implementing new or existing work-life
balance policies and initiatives that work for them.
This
scheme is managed by the Equality Authority on behalf of the National
Framework Committee for Work-Life Balance. For further information you
